Loading ...Ubuntu Sun è una proposta del team grafico (Artwork) di Ubuntu, che punta alla creazione di un set di 3 temi da inserire nella versione 10.04 di Ubuntu, per ora non è nulla di concreto ma potrebbe diventarlo molto presto.
“As some people like dark themes and some people like bright themes, why not combine them into one set of matching themes with different shades? This is an idea for a Metacity theme that is based on the idea of having the sun shine into your windows. Could there be a better leitmotiv for the window design of a lucid release? The theme could be combined with any GTK theme if they are modified to have flat menu and tool bars.”

“Alcune persone preferiscono i temi scuri altri quelli chiari, perchè non combinarli in un set di temi con sfumature diverse? Si tratta di un idea per un tema Metacity che “faccia splendere il sole nelle tue finestre”. Potrebbe essere la miglior base per il design delle finestre in Lucid? Il tema si potrebbe combinare con qualsiasi tema GTK per creare un menù piatto e delle barre degli strumenti. (non sono riuscito a tradurre benissimo alcune parti se avete un consiglio potete lasciare un commento.)
I tre temi in questione si chiamano Dawn (Alba), Day (Giorno) e Dusk (Tramonto), il concetto è quello di rappresentare in ogni tema una posizione differente del sole e quindi tre livelli di luminosità diversi:
